30 Ways to Get Smarter Using Your Library this Academic Year

Listen to Classical Music. Read more poetry. Get your news from Al Jazzera. This year the NSCC Libraries will show you how achieving a greater IQ (translates to a higher G.P.A.) is perhaps easier - and more fun than you may think.

Each week throughout the academic year the Libraries will unveil a new way you can get smarter by using the Library's resources and services. Follow us on our Facebook page or check out our 30 Ways Campaign in the Libraries. This year increase the size of that amazing organ at the top of your head and impress your teachers, colleagues and friends!

Here's a taste of what to expect:

#1 Listen to Classical Music. The structure of Classical Music through its melody and rhythm affects the brain's organization and its abilities. In fact, music enhances spatial IQ by increasing short and long term memory. Expose yourself to more Classical Music using Naxos Music Library.

Naxos labels include EMI Classics, Virgin Classics, Warner, Erato, Teldec and Sun Records. Besides Classical Music Naxos also has jazz, folk, blues, gospel, relaxation and world music.

Check out these videos on YouTube on how to create and organize your own playlists in Naxos. Then download the Naxos Music Library app for a mobile experience!
